PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION The successful candidate will be part of an imbedded risk team assessing the performance and risk within Exelon Generation Company’s Power Team. Power Team, the company’s wholesale power marketing and trading organization, is responsible for optimizing the profitability of a growing portfolio of assets and load obligations as well as the implementation of risk management objectives. The position will appeal to an individual that can balance the complexity of in-depth analysis with a customer-centric approach whose value add comes through elevating client discussions to identifying customer needs. The position will appeal to an individual that thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is interested in contributing to achieving business results in a rapidly changing and challenging area of the energy business. The individual must exhibit the ability to understand business decisions in the context of economic, operational, and organizational constraints. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Item Accountability 1 Daily enforcement of Risk Control Manual 2 Review daily Profit Statement and assist in regional analysis through analytical support 3 Ensure accurate deal capture within the transaction system 4 Reconcile broker statements and resolve discrepancies with traders 5 Review trade blotters for accuracy 6 Daily price reporting 7 Daily verification of e-schedules 8 Administration of trade confirmation process 9 Perform fossil fuel physical and financial transaction settlements and inventory accounting 10 Support Power Team Fuels Management group and other Finance/Accounting processes POSITION SPECIFICATIONS Minimum: Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required Strong organizational and verbal communication skills with ability to handle multiple duties required Strong math and analytical skills, with an attention to detail Ability to develop spreadsheet applications and learn other specialized software products (Nmarket, ZaiNet, Internet Web-based processes, etc.) Preferred: Knowledge of generating station or fuels management activities procedures preferred
