Job Description:

The United Illuminating Company, headquartered in New Haven, Connecticut is an investor-owned regional electric utility that provides service to more than 320,000 customers in the greater New Haven and Bridgeport area. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team in our Shelton facility.

This position will administer, configure, monitor and support the technical environment for a public facing web portal. In addition this individual will support UI's Websphere application server infrastructure in the same manner as the web portal environment for corporate in house applications. Will manage deployment of portal applications, set up WAS configuration, administer application roles, authorization, and page security. Configure and maintain WCM syndication. Apply fixes and fixpacks to the environment as IBM makes them available. Support regression testing after fix/fixpack.

This position requires a BS in Computer Science or Information Technology and five to seven years experience supporting a web portal. Experience with IBM's application server, web content manager, websphere portal server version 5.1 or greater preferred. Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills are required.
