Responsibilities The Director, Corporate Communications plays a critical role working with the VP, Corporate Communications and other stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy. The Director uses all means of communications (including social media) and actively calls upon resources in Marketing, Creative Media, and other business unit/ functions in order to actively engage employees. Reports To: VP, Corporate Communications Primary Duties and Responsibilities: ¿ Manage the internal communications team to: ¿ Ensure that the team performs effectively, and develops as a professional unit ¿ Manage work product and projects to ensure highest quality delivered completely and on time ¿ Work with the VP, Corporate Communications and business unit contacts to establish and manage to the annual budget ¿ Work closely with key stakeholders within the business units / functional areas to plan, implement, direct, and evaluate strategic communication plans that support the Constellation Energy brand and educate employees on key business issues. While the focus is on internal communications, the Director may also assist with external communications as needed. ¿ Responsible for effectively and aggressively communicating corporate transformation goals to help accomplish the overall corporate mission. ¿ Provides counsel and guidance to senior management, colleagues and employees at all levels within the organization. ¿ Oversees management of the corporate intranet content, design and maintenance. Qualifications Job Specifications: Knowledge: ¿ High degree of understanding of internal communications strategy and a minimum of 10 years relevant communication experience ¿ Insights gained from experience interacting with senior leadership Skills/Abilities: ¿ Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and execute through an entire project life-cycle ¿ Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a staff and effectively manage competing priorities ¿ Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to speak with authority and knowledge ¿ Ability to influence, educate, and inform employees at all levels ¿ Demonstrated ability to marshal resources across a diverse organization in order to accomplish goals Education/Experience: ¿ Bachelor¿s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent high-performance experience ¿ Experience in integrated communications planning in a complex corporate, agency, or consulting environment ¿ Prior supervisory role in a communications function Physical requirements, working conditions, and other factors to consider: ¿ Occasional planned and unplanned overnight travel for company business or professional development ¿ planned and unplanned overtime when required by work schedules and workloads ¿ participates in 24-hour on-call schedule that also requires presence at and reaction to emergency situations ¿ may perform other duties as assigned EEO & Employment Eligibility Equal Employment Opportunity Constellation Energy and its member companies do not discriminate in employment with regard to age, citizenship, color, disability, marital status, national origin or ancestry, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, union affiliation, or any other basis prohibited by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
