Responsibilities Constellation NewEnergy, Inc. is seeking an individual with experience in quantitative methods, basic risk management statistics and programming for an Analyst position within the Market and Product Development Group in Baltimore, MD. This team is primarily responsible for identifying, evaluating and developing new products and markets The primary role of the Analyst will be to maintain and improve our product solutions and systems and interact with customers, salespersons, and the Portfolio Management Group providing support for our offerings. Job Description: Essential Duties and Expectations: 1- Maintaining our product systems including entering new customers into the system, running on-going periodic reports, producing and evaluating our Product risk-management output and communicating the results to various internal and external customers. 2- Ad-hoc analysis and reporting. 3- Debugging minor software issues. 4- Providing training in our products to various internal customers. 5- Working closely with IT to maintain and improve our operations and product databases and solve technical issues. 6- Periodically produce and update the quantitative information used in our databases. 7- Gain a thorough understanding of Retail Energy markets and pricing and CNE's internal pricing systems. 8- Keep abreast of energy markets (power and gas) and be proactive in the development of new retail product solutions. Qualifications - Candidates should have 0-3 years of experience in the energy markets and a basic understanding of financial risk management techniques. Experience in retail power is highly desirable. - Proficient with Excel and some programming experience in Vb.Net and SQL or proficiency in some other computer language a plus. - Must have good quantitative skills, be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize job requirements in a multi-task, fast-paced environment. - Good written and verbal communication skills are a must as the individual will need to interact and communicate complicated results. - A degree in a quantitative field is ideal: Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Physical Sciences.
