The Midwest ISO is responsible for the electric transmission system spanning 15 states and parts of Canada. Its member utilities have more than 84,000 megawatts of generating capacity and 70,000 miles of bulk power transmission lines. The Midwest ISO's purpose is to provide non-discriminatory open access to the transmission systems of its member transmission owners, maintain and improve system reliability and security as the Security Coordinator for the area, facilitate coordinated transmission planning, increase generation competition, and function as the Regional Transmission Operator.
The Midwest ISO has two office locations. We are headquartered at 701 City Center Drive, Carmel IN 46032. Our second office is located in St. Paul Minnesota, at 1125 Energy Park Drive, St. Paul MN 55108. Unless specifically noted, posted openings are located in Carmel, IN.
The Midwest ISO's employees work toward the goal captured in our vision - to be recognized as a North American leader in providing bulk power transmission services. This goal is achieved by following the values developed and defined by our employees.
